First, the conversation
We start with your story, not a sales pitch. When did you first notice changes? Which situations are hardest, restaurants, phone calls, meetings, the TV? What's your daily life like, and what does your family notice? We'll also review your general health history, since medications, noise exposure and certain conditions all bear on hearing. This case history shapes everything that follows.
Then, the testing
A complete hearing test maps your hearing across pitches and measures how well you understand speech. The results show not just whether you have hearing loss, but its type, degree and pattern, the difference between a useful recommendation and a guess.
Then, honest recommendations
If your results show a permanent hearing loss that hearing aids can help, we'll walk you through what that actually means for you: which sounds you're missing, and what restoring them would change day to day. You'll see and handle different styles, from discreet in-canal devices to behind-the-ear models, and in many cases listen through a demonstration device on the spot.
Our recommendations weigh three things equally: your hearing loss, your lifestyle, and your budget. A hunter, a retired teacher and a call-center worker with identical audiograms may leave with three different devices. The final choice is always yours; our job is to make it an informed one.
