Your doctor probably offers video visits. Your hearing care can work that way too. For patients who can't easily get to Kulpmont or Hazle Township, whether due to mobility, distance, weather or a packed schedule, we offer telehealth services that bring a surprising amount of hearing care to wherever you are.
How it works
You'll schedule a remote appointment just like an office visit. At the appointed time, you connect with your specialist using a phone, tablet or computer with an internet connection, no special equipment or technical skill required beyond joining the call. If your hearing aids support remote programming (many modern devices do), your specialist can securely connect to them during the session.
What we can do remotely
- Hearing aid fine-tuning. For compatible devices, we can review your current settings and adjust volume, noise reduction, directional microphones and program settings remotely, using your existing test results as the roadmap. That echo in your kitchen or the too-loud restaurant program can often be fixed without a drive.
- Guided screening and triage. Structured remote evaluations can flag whether something in your auditory system deserves an in-person look, and help us prioritize your visit when you do come in.
- Technology walk-throughs. New to your devices, or fighting with an app or streaming setup? Screen-to-screen coaching solves most of it.
- Care and maintenance coaching. We'll walk you through cleaning routines, wax guard changes and drying habits, live, with your devices in hand.
- Device selection education. Exploring hearing aids for yourself or a parent? We can cover styles, features and options remotely before anyone gets in a car.
What still needs an office visit
Honesty first: comprehensive diagnostic testing, ear examinations, earwax removal, impressions and physical repairs are hands-on by nature. Telehealth extends our care between visits, it doesn't replace the visits that matter.
